Free flyingOUR OFFSHORE AND COASTAL METOCEAN MODELS ALLOW TO CLEARLY DEFINE SEA-STATE PARAMETERS WORLD-WIDE

 Qualified wind fields
For real-time assistance or for metocean studies, we have developed models, covering for instance :
· The pre-processing and analysis of wind fields originating from different meteorological models,
· The calculation of offshore and near-shore directional wave height spectra,
· The determination of local metocean parameters - waves, winds, currents - for the monitoring of the drifts of oil slicks or of accidentally lost floating structures.

The features of these models are :
· A punctual approach : wave characteristics are determined on your very precise operation location, be it offshore or near-shore,
· A fully operational description of an offshore or near-shore sea-state through its directional wave height spectrum. These directional spectra highly contribute to operational studies or real-time assistance, since they bring a complete determination of heights, periods and directions, either for the main wind-sea and swell components or for the global sea-state,
· An adjustment of both wind fields (as inputs) and sea-states (as outputs) by using satellite measurements (altimeter, scatterometer, SAR)

A permanent control by meteorological analysts. For that purpose, we use all the available sea-state and wind information (from the altimeter, scatteromoter, SAR in image and wave mode or microwave passive imagery) in order to achieve a controlled modelisation.
